SAMBA, Jan 11: Police has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur and recovered approximately 3.18 grams of heroin (chitta) from his possession.
A police party headed by SHO Police Station Vijaypur during vehicle checking naka at NHW AIIMS Vijaypur, intercepted a bike bearing registration Number JK08H-9926 for its checking. During checking, 3.18 grams of heroin like substance was recovered from the possession of rider.
The drug peddler identified as Rocky Verma son of Narayan Dutt of Tapiyal Bardhani (Ghagwal, Jammu) was arrested and contraband seized. A case FIR Number 06/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered in this connection at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation started.
