GANDERBAL, Jan 22: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today convened a meeting to take stock of the physical and financial achievements made under District Capex 2024-25.
During the meeting, it was informed that out of 1635 works, 1475 have been tendered, out of which 1331 are also allotted.
DDC took a detailed review of progress achieved in each department including RDD, Health, Education, R&B, PDD, Jal Shakti & Agriculture allied departments.
While reviewing sector-wise position of allotment and completion of works, the DDC directed the concerned executing agencies to ensure that the implementation of all the works on ground is expedited so that they are completed at the earliest.
He stressed to utilize the remaining months of the financial year properly to complete projects well in time by spending all the released money.
Officers were stressed to put in best efforts for maximum and optimum utilization of funds under different schemes so that no released expenditure would be surrendered.
Reviewing the sector-wise and work-wise progress, the DC emphasized the need for accelerating the pace of ongoing works to ensure their timely completion. He further directed all concerned executing agencies to meet both physical and financial targets for all approved projects within the stipulated timelines.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, ACP, Executive Engineers from R&B, REW, Jal Shakti and I&FC, BDOs and other District and Sectoral Officers.
