JAMMU, Feb 3: Senior Congress leader and DDC Suchetgarh, Taranjit Singh Tony held a Janata Darbar at Barmini village and listened to the grievances of the people.
While speaking to the people Tony accused the BJP Government at the Centre of paying lip service to development promises while failing to deliver tangible results on the ground.
The locals voiced their concerns over deteriorating roads, scarcity of clean drinking water, poor healthcare facilities, and rising unemployment.
Congress leader lamented that despite tall claims of development, the ground reality remains grim, with people in rural areas struggling for basic amenities.
Tony pointed out that the lack of proper road connectivity has isolated many villages, hampering economic activities and access to healthcare. He also criticized the earlier Government for failing to provide sustainable employment opportunities, pushing the youth towards uncertainty.
Appealing to the Chief Minister and the Cabinet Ministers, Tony urged them to focus on neglected regions and ensure balanced development. He also called for the promotion of Rati Sarari as a tourist destination to boost local economy and job creation.
He reiterated the Congress party’s commitment to addressing these critical concerns and vowed to continue to fight for the rightful share of resources and development projects for Jammu and Kashmir, urging the Government to revisit its priorities and take concrete action to uplift the region.
