JAMMU, Feb 5: The Law School, University of Jammu, under the guidance of Prof Seema Rohmetra, Director of The Law School, organised the visit of students to Cyber Police Station in Jammu.
Eighty Law students participated in the visit, which was divided into two shifts. During the visit, students gained hands-on experience and insight into the latest cybercrime trends and investigations.
Cyber Police officials, including Priyanka Kumari (DySP) and Inspector Rakesh Sharma briefed students on the Cyber Police Station’s functioning, types of cybercrimes, and perpetrators’ modus operandi. Students interacted with police personnel, learning about the challenges they face in investigating cybercrimes.
The visit concluded with students pledging to raise awareness about cybercrime among their friends and family. Faculty members Dr Monica Narang, Dr Palvi Mathavan Puri, Dr Vandita Sharma, Dr Rajneesh Khajuria, and Dr Nitan Sharma coordinated the event.
