JAMMU, Feb 12: Social Activist Jayesh Gupta here today has expressed concerns over the increasing incidents of criminal activities in Jammu.
Addressing a press conference Gupta said that sharp rise in criminal incidents like thefts, robbery, chain snatching etc has disturbed the peace of our city.
He expressed shock over the increase in drug abuse in Jammu and stated that addiction is taking a devastating toll on the youth.
The Social Activist lamented that drug-related issues have not only led to the loss of numerous young lives but have also contributed to the disintegration of families, causing widespread social distress.
He also threw light on increasing instances of human trafficking in Jammu and emphasized that if corrective measures are not taken urgently, the situation may worsen.
Gupta stressed on the need for more proactive efforts from law enforcement agencies to restore order and build public confidence. He urged the Lieutenant Governor to take these matters seriously and implement stringent measures to address crime and drug abuse effectively.
