General Bus Stand shopkeepers observe Black Day

JAMMU, Feb 12: Shopkeepers of General Bus Stand Jammu today observed Black Day and tied black bands over their arms.
President of General Bus Stand Shopkeepers Association, Vishal Mahajan told reporters that four years back the Bus Stand was inaugurated by Manoj Sinha, J&K LG but so far boarding and de-boarding of buses is not being done inside the Bus Stand which has created miserable conditions for the shopkeepers due to lack of sales.
He informed that when the Bus Stand was renovated, their old shops were dismantled and new shops were provided to them and they were assured that their business would flourish at the new Bus Stand but the results remained otherwise.
“We met all including LG, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, DC Jammu, Transport Commissioner, VC JDA and others but nothing fruitful resulted,” Mahajan maintained appealing the CM and LG to make arrangements for boarding and de-boarding of buses from inside the Bus Stand and make operational all the ticket counters and platforms as soon as possible.
Sanjay Dutt, Haneef Khan, Gulshan Gupta, Sanjay Kumar and others were also present in the press conference.
