JAMMU, Feb 14: The Advocates Residential Colony Committee, led by K Nirmal Kotwal, president of the J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu (JKHCBAJ), met with Balbir Singh Manhas, Chairman of the J&K Cooperative Housing Corporation Ltd (J&K CHCL), and Managing Director Bharat Bhushan Sharma.
The meeting, held at the Corporation’s office, focused on the long-standing demand for a residential colony for advocates in Jammu.
The committee, which included former presidents DK Khajuria and DS Saini, along with Advocates MR Qureshi, Raghu Mehta, Baldev Singh, Pardeep Majotra, Anshu Mahajan, and Rahul Aggarwal, discussed potential sites for the proposed colony.
It was decided that committee members would visit the available locations before finalizing a site for the residential development.
The project will involve the construction of a multi-storey building with affordable flats for advocates, addressing the increasing demand for accommodation in Jammu.
The meeting also saw the participation of Advocates Amarvir Manhas, Pooja Pandit and Chander Dev Manhas.
Chairman Balbir Singh Manhas reassured the committee that the Corporation is committed to fulfilling the long-pending demand for a residential colony for advocates in Jammu.
