SRINAGAR, Feb 17: Real Kashmir Football Club (RKFC) will take on Namdhari FC in a crucial I-League match at TRC Ground, Srinagar. Both teams are battling for the second spot on the points table, with Namdhari FC currently leading with 25 points from 14 matches, followed closely by Interkashi (24 points) and RKFC (23 points). A win for RKFC would propel them to second place with 26 points.
Ahead of the match, RKFC head coach Ishfaq Ahmad acknowledged Namdhari FC’s strength but expressed confidence in his team’s ability, especially with the home advantage. “We will give our best to achieve a positive result,” said Ishfaq.
The coach also highlighted the financial constraints RKFC faces compared to other teams but commended his players for their performance. Regarding star striker Gnohere Krizo, Ishfaq stated that competition for a starting spot is high and players must prove themselves.
