JAMMU, Feb 21: Under membership campaign ‘Jan Sampark Abhiyaan’ being organised by BSP across J&K for local body elections-rural as well as urban, a large number of political workers here today left other parties and joined BSP.
The new entrants were welcomed into BSP by former MP and State In-charge, Dr. Avtar Singh Karimpuri and State president, Darshan Rana.
On this occasion, BSP State general secretary, Raja Singh, State coordinator, Charanjit Chargotra, Gaurav Bakhshi, Sunil Majotra, State general secretary, Shashi Bushan Thapa, Tilak Raj Bhagat and Tarsem Lal along with other senior party leaders were also present.
Welcoming new entrants, Dr. Avtar Singh said that a large number of people have joined BSP today under the chairmanship of BSP State president, Darshan Rana.
He announced that BSP will form five groups from five regions of Jammu division and four senior BSP leaders will head these groups in each region to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
Darshan Rana said that the party will now run a membership campaign in all these areas and more and more people will be added to the party.
