CDE program on Endodontic Microsurgery held at IGGDC

JAMMU, Feb 21: Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Indira Gandhi Government Dental College (IGGDC) Jammu organized a Continuing Dental Education (CDE) programme on Endodontic Microsurgery.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members and postgraduate students across various departments, including Conservative Dentistry, Oral Surgery and Periodontics.
A key highlight of the programme was a live surgical demonstration of two live cases of periradicular microsurgeries related to the management of Trauma/ Root Resorption/ Endodontic complications through live streaming from the Department of Microdentistry by Dr Abrar Syed from Government Dental College, Mumbai.
The session included online deliberations of the case regarding management alternatives, questions-answer sessions and deliberations of the treatment options in cases, live surgeries and post operative discussions regarding the outcome.
The event was meticulously coordinated by Dr Azhar Malik, Professor and Head of the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics in collaboration with Dr Parveen Akhter Lone, HoD Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dr Manik Sharma, HoD Periodontics and active participation from faculty members, including Dr Ajay Kumar Gupta, Dr Rachna Dhani, Dr Shamim Anjum, Dr Rudra Kaul, Dr Ravinder Kumar Bhagat, Dr Sachin Chadgal, Dr Saksham Narainia and Dr Taniya Bhagat.
The programme was also attended by Medical Superintendent Dr Sanjay Kumar Sharma and Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr Wasiq Rasool. The primary objective of the programme was to enhance the surgical skills of faculty members and postgraduate students, ultimately benefiting patient care.
The CME programme was conducted under the guidance of Principal and Dean of IGGDC.
