JAMMU, Mar 1: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Jammu Kashmir, has strongly condemned the unjust delay in the completion of the Paramedical course for the batch of 2020.
“Despite completing their final exams, the students are being forced to undergo an extended internship period, causing undue hardship and affecting their future prospects,” said Sannak Shrivats, State Secretary ABVP Jammu Kashmir, in a statement.
He demanded that the Allied and Healthcare Council should take immediate action to address the grievances of the Paramedical students. The students have already faced a delay of one and a half years in completing their course, and further prolonging their internship period is unacceptable, he added.
“ABVP Jammu Kashmir has urged the university administration to count the extra clinical postings attended by the students during their course duration towards their internship period, reduce the internship period to compensate for the delay in the completion of the course and issue a valid degree and internship certificate to the students after completing their final exams,” he said.
