JAMMU, Mar 10: In a bid to enhance security and operational preparedness in the region, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Shiv Kumar Sharma, today chaired a security review meeting at the Dak Bunglow in Billawar.
The meeting was attended by various senior officers, including ADC Billawar Vinay Khosla, SP Operations Billawar Amir, SDPO Billawar Neeraj Padyar, SHO Billawar Zaheer Manhas, as well as representatives from the Army, CRPF, intelligence agencies, and civil departments.
The primary focus of the meeting was to assess the current security situation and discuss strategies to counter the activities of Anti-National Elements (ANEs) in the area.
The officers shared their experiences and challenges faced during operations and discussed the steps needed to eliminate the threat posed by these elements.
DIG Sharma emphasized the need for maintaining peace and harmony in the region while ensuring the operational preparedness of all security forces, including the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
He urged all agencies to work in close coordination and synergy to effectively address security concerns.
Additionally, he directed civil departments to improve infrastructure such as road connectivity, electricity, and water supply, especially in remote areas and newly established force camps.
In his closing remarks, DIG Sharma commended the joint efforts of the security forces and civil departments in maintaining peace and order in the region.
He also urged the public of Billawar and surrounding higher reaches to cooperate by providing timely information regarding suspicious activities, movements, or individuals.
He encouraged people to contact the local police, Army, SOG camps, or VDGs for any security-related concerns.
