This prompted the Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather to issue directions to the concerned department to look into the matter.
However, inspite of his personal intervention, the matter remained unaddressed by the end of the session today.
During the question hour and debate on the UT’s budget, several NC, Congress, as well as BJP legislators, including Justice (Retired) Hasnain Masoodi, stopped their address midway as the mics were not audible.
On this, they appealed the Speaker to look into the matter. On their request, the Speaker directed the concerned department to resolve the issue but it remained unaddressed by the end of the session today.
In between, several legislators completed their address using alternative mics arranged by the Assembly staff.
