POONCH: Physical Education Foundation of India (PEFI) Poonch celebrated National Unity Day.
On the occasion a run for unity organised by District unit of PEFI in collaboration with Poonch District Taekwondo Association (PDTA) in which hundreds of budding players of Taekwondo both boys and girls took part.
Earlier, the rally was flagged off by Dr Mohd Tanveer, Chief Executive Officer Poonch Development Authority (Tourism) in the presence of Premparkash Luthra (Retd) DYSSO and Vice President PDTA and Amit Sharma Joint Secretary PDTA.
The Rally started from Parade Park Poonch and culminated at Sports Stadium Poonch, where all players and officials took pledge of national unity.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajinder Singh, Physical Education Teacher congratulated all the members of District unit of PEFI and PDTA for organizing run for unity on the occasion of National Unity Day. “We all follow the message of unity of Iron Man Sardar Vallabbhai Patel to make our nation strong,” he said.
Neeraj Sharma NIS Coach from DYSS also congratulated all on the occasion of National Unity Day.
Prominent others present were Kewal Krishan PEM, Sanjeev Gupta Senior pharmacist, Sanjay Raina PET, Aman Sharma, Sachin Sharma, Sandeep Sharma (all ReK), Ashaq Hussain Organising Secretary PDTA and Hassan.
