JAMMU: Jammu & Kashmir High Court Bar Association (JKHCBA) Jammu welcomed the newly appointed Chief Justice for the twin Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Chief Justice Arun Palli at the Bar Hall of High Court Complex, Janipur, here.

The Chief Justice alongwith his companion of judges including Justice Sindhu Sharma, Justice Rajnesh Oswal, Justice Javed Iqbal Wani, Justice Rahul Bharti, Justice Moksha Khajuria Kazmi, Justice Rajesh Sekhri and Justice Mohd. Yousuf Wani presided over the function organised for welcoming the Chief Justice at Jammu.
The battery of lawyers, including designated seniors, seniors, young and female members of the bar participated in the welcome function and enthusiastically welcomed the new Chief Justice to the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
Speaking on the occasion, President K. Nirmal Kotwal extended a welcome to the Chief Justice on behalf of the entire bar, conveying warm wishes for a distinguished and impactful tenure as Chief Justice, reflecting the deep respect and admiration the bar holds for his leadership.
Kotwal eloquently articulated the aspirations and hopes of the bar, sharing with the Chief Justice the collective vision for a more vibrant and responsive judicial system. He earnestly sought the Chief Justice’s cooperation in realizing the shared goals, emphasizing the bar’s unwavering commitment to upholding the highest standards of justice and integrity.
In his address, Kotwal also reaffirmed the bar’s readiness to work in close partnership with the judiciary, confident that under the Chief Justice’s stewardship, the institution will continue to flourish and serve as a beacon of fairness and equity. The occasion was marked by a spirit of unity and optimism, as the bar looked forward to a new chapter of progress and collaboration, inspired by the Chief Justice’s wisdom and dedication
While addressing the gathering, the Chief Justice Arun Palli expressed his gratitude to bar members for welcoming him, and also appreciated the office bearers of the Association for organising a welcome function.
The Chief Justice expressed heartfelt appreciation for the invaluable contributions made by the Advocates. He assured the bar of his unwavering cooperation and reaffirmed his commitment to being both available and accessible to all its members.
The Chief Justice emphasized the importance of open dialogue and mutual respect between the bench and the bar, recognizing that such collaboration is essential for the effective administration of justice. He encouraged members to approach him freely with their concerns and suggestions, assuring them that their voices would always be heard and valued.
Office bearers of the association including Vice President Baldev Singh, General Secretary Pardeep Majotra, Joint Secretary Anshu Mahajan and Treasurer Rahul Aggarwal collectively expressed their hope of finding and implementing of solutions for pending demands of the bar and betterment of legal fraternity.
Chief Justice also visited the office of the Bar Association at High Court, and was presented a bouquet and token of welcome by the team of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association, Jammu.
