GDC Udhampur organises skill orientation workshop on design & repair of electronic gadgets

UDHAMPUR: Science Club of GDC Udhampur in collaboration with Departments of Physics and Electronics organized a skill oriented workshop on the designing and repair of the common household Electronic Items such as such as Charger, capacitor, multimeter, extension boards circuit faults etc. in which 70 students for different faculties and staff members both teaching and non-teaching participated. Prof. Subhash Chander Sharma, Principal of the college was the Chief Guest and Prof. Rakesh Singh, Dr. Devi Dass, and Prof. Tawseef Ahmed Bhat were the resource person for the workshop.
Earlier, the programme started with the keynote address delivered on the theme of the workshop by Prof. Seema Kotwal, the senior most faculty and the convener of the science club of the college. In her address, she advised the participating students to take all precautionary measure while dealing with electrical instruments and also stressed upon the need to develop scientific temper among the students and society by attending such type of workshops and programmes. The proceeding of the workshop were carried out under the overall coordination of Dr. Ved Kumar Dept. of Chemistry and Prof. Kamal Kishore HOD Physics. The other faculty members who attended the workshop include Prof. Sarita Parihar, Dr. Sumati Anthal and Prof. Rajan Bharti, Prof Sanjeet Singh, Prof. Sanjeev Kumar
The programme was concluded with the formal vote of thanks proposed by Prof. Romesh Kumar Atri, HOD Botany.
