JAMMU: Police on Thursday busted a theft gang and arrested six thieves.
As per details, on May 27, 2021, a complaint was lodged at Police Post Canal by one Nidhi Shishoo, daughter of Satvinder Sisho, resident of Bhagwati Nagar, presently staying at Delhi, stating that some unknown thieves entered her house with criminal intention and stole some household appliances. On this, FIR No. 93/2021 under sections 457/380/34/411 of IPC was registered at Police Station Nowabad and investigation started.
Special police teams of Police Post Canal Road under supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs Swati Sharma were constituted. The team led by SHO Nowabad Insp Rajesh Khajuria assisted by Incharge Police Post Canal Road SI Ravinder Singh after strenuous efforts and with 0help of analysis of CCTV footages of the area and technical evidence, rounded up six suspects namely Dheeraj Mehra alias Dishu, son of Yash Pal Mehra, resident of Bhagwati Nagar Jammu; Sahil Kumar alias Balla, son of Mohinder Pal Singh, resident of RS Pura Near Sabzi Mandi at present Puran Nagar Talab Tillo; Mahinder Parshad alias Pant, son of Sateshwar Parshad, resident of Uttarakhand at present Near Vishwakarma Mandir Bhagwati Nagar Jammu; Khanmukh Singh alias Sippa, son of Dilbag Singh, resident of Toph Sherkhania Paloura; Ajay Kumar alias Nago, son of Hansraj, resident of Gole Panj Peer Jammu and Bikram Singh alias Biku, son of Uttam Singh, resident of Anand Nagar Bohri.
During sustained questioning, accused confessed their involvement in the crime and on their disclosure stolen items were recovered which include AC 1.5 Ton Blue Star; AC Voltage stabilizer; LED TV 26″; LED TV 32″; Sony Handy cam; Binoculars; drill machine set; Iron rods weighing approximately 1 quintal; Brass( Pital) about 2 Kg; two 5 Kg Gas cylinders; eight mobile phones (7 smart phones and 1 other). Further investigation is going on to ascertain their involvement in any other cases.
