Speaking on the occasion, Manjit Singh, the Former Minister, was concerned over the deplorable condition of the road linking the locality where SC Community lives.
In his address, Manjit Singh accused the administration and the department concerned for discrimination against the SC Community which needs social, and economic upliftment.
“Govt of India has launched many schemes for the welfare of the neglected section of society, but it seems that the Dept. is not ready to do anything to upgrade the basic amenities,” he added.
He said that “The electricity and water like essential services are not properly available to the people.” “The Govt. should look into the needs of the local population and accordingly, provide them with electricity and clean drinking water supply so that the people do not suffer,” he said. State SC Coordinator, Bodh Raj Bhagat said that the people live in poverty and do farming and other small works. These poor people were left unrepresented by the leaders who they voted for in the past, he added.
