JAMMU: Olympian wrestler, Narsingh Yadav of Mumbai was honoured on Tuesday during his visit to the holy town of Katra to pay obeisance to Mata Vaishno Devi.
Narsingh was presented a memento by President of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association and President Kreeda Bhartti, J&K, Shiv Kumar Sharma and other members.
Commonwealth gold medalist and Asian Champion, Yadav is an Arjuna Awardee wrestler.
Being vice president of the Indian Style Wrestling Association of India, Shiv Kumar held interaction with the celebrity wrestler about the prospects of wrestling in the country, especially the Olympic bound team.
Among others present were Babu Ram Sharma (senior vice president), Ramnik Nowadha (treasurer) and Pandit Rameshwar Sharma (executive member) of the Katra Indian Style Wrestling Association.
