SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday reported 298 fresh Covid cases– 196 from the Valley and 102 from the Jammu, thus taking the tally to 315960 cases in the Union Territory.
Officials said that four virus related fatalities were also recorded during the past 24 hours, two each in the Jammu division and the Valley.
Moreover, 573 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 110 from Jammu Division and 463 from Kashmir Division.
Besides this, 86.51 percent of population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across the Jammu and Kashmir.
According to a daily Media Bulletin, out of 315960 positive cases, 4321 are Active Positive, 307312 have recovered and 4327 have died; 2107 in Jammu division and 2220 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 10017517 test results available, 9701557 samples have been tested as negative till today.
Till date 2434901 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 15034 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 4321 in isolation and 225038 in home surveillance. Besides, 2186181 persons have completed their surveillance period, officials added.
