JAMMU: Police on Friday nabbed a drug peddler and recovered 15 Kg of poppy straw from his possession. As per details, based on specific inputs regarding drug peddling, a Naka was laid by Nagrota Police led by SHO Nagrota Insp Mohd Showkat at Ban Toll Plaza and rounded up a suspect, who was identified as Mohd Rafiq, son of Ghulam Mohd, resident of Bhudan, Reasi. On search, 15 Kg poppy straw was recovered from his possession. He was arrested and FIR No. 309/2021 under section 8/15 of NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Nagrota. The overall arrest and recovery was made under supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh.
