MVD Ramban seizes 4 vehicles, recovers Rs 4,500 fine from violators

RAMBAN: Motor Vehicle Department Ramban has intensified drive to check violation of traffic rules and COVID protocols by passenger vehicle operators.
The enforcement team led by Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Ramban, Shafqat Majid conducted a massive checking drive and seized 4 vehicles including two Mini-Buses and two Magic-Autos, besides booking many drivers under Motor Vehicles Act on Ramban-Batote route. The team recovered fine of Rs 4,500 from passenger vehicles for overloading, overcharging and violation of various other rules of Motor Vehicles Act. The enforcement team urged private transporters to remain stuck to 50 per cent restriction on authorized seating capacity for containing spread of COVID-19. According to ARTO, 10 vehicles were challaned for violation of MVD Act on Ramban -Batote route.
