Enquiry ordered into collapse of retaining wall of GMC building Rajouri

RAJOURI: A high-level enquiry has been ordered by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rajouri, Rajesh Kumar Shavan into circumstances under which the retaining wall of newly constructed building of Government Medical College & Hospital, Rajouri collapsed, leading to death of a civilian.
DC Rajouri, in a letter issued vide No DCR/2021-22/PA/323-29 dated July 11, 2021 has ordered that S D Singh (KAS), Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri will inquire into all aspects regarding use of sub-standard material in construction, faulty drawings, poor supervision PWD Incharge officers etc for finding out reason for collapse of wall. The Enquiry Officer S D Singh has asked all concerned officers including Abdul Gani Jagal Executive Engineer PMGSY Budhal, Bikram Singh Executive Engineer R&B Nowshera, Mohd Hussain Executive Engineer I&FC Nowshera, Subash Chander Executive Engineer PMGSY Division Rajouri, Sarwar Hussain AEE Sub-Division R&B South Rajouri, Zulafkar Ali AEE PHE Sub Division (HQ) Rajouri, Attar Pervaiz, AEE REW Sub Division Rajouri and Aashiq Ahmed AEE I&FC Rajouri to attend first meeting, to be held on July 13, 2021.
