JAMMU: The government on Monday constituted a Committee for the Jammu and Kashmir E-Court Fees Rules, 2021.
“Sanction is accorded to the constitution of a Committee, comprising five officers for overseeing transition of making payment of Court fee in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir,” reads an order issued by Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Commissioner/ Secretary, General Administration Department.
As per order, committee will be headed by Administrative Secretary, Department of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs as its Chairman while Commissioner of Stamps, J&K; representative of General Administration Department (not below the rank of Special Secretary); representative of Finance Department (not below the rank of Special Secretary) and representative of the High Court will be its Members “Any other member as may be co-opted by the Committee.” the order stated and added, “The Committee shall inter-alia suggest steps for effective rolling out of E-Court regime or any other matter incidental or related thereto.”
