JAMMU: BJP J&K General Secretary Dr. Davinder Manyal along with Convener Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana Vikram Randhawa (Ex MLC) and Co Covener Hari Om Sharma under took a meeting at Party Headquarters Trikuta Nagar of various district level Convener and Co conveners for PMGKAY from across the UT.
Dr. Davinder Manyal said that the flagship welfare scheme of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government, the PMGKAY aims to give five kilograms of wheat or rice and one kilogram of Dal to every family holding a ration card till November 2021.
He urged the newly appointed Conveners and Co-conveners to create more awareness among the masses about this welfare scheme.
Vikram Randhawa, while addressing the meeting, urged everyone to identify the needy families in their respective districts and help them to get enlisted to avail the benefits of PMGKAY in order to provide them relief in COVID times.
He further thanked PM Modi for extending flagship ongoing Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana scheme till November.
Hari Om Sharma said that the free supply of grains will ameliorate the hardships faced by the poor due to economic disruption caused by the coronavirus amd it is duty of every party worker to create awareness about PMGKAY among masses while adhering to COVID Appropriate Behaviour.
Rajesh Gupta (Jammu), Mela Ram (Doda), Surinder Balloria (Basohli), Manoj Arora (Ramban), Ankush Mahajan (Samba), Sunil Dutt (R S Pura), Karan Atri (Kathua), Uttam Singh (Akhnoor), Annu Ghai Behnal (Jammu West), Anil Khajuria (Nowshera), Shabeer Rathore (Poonch), Raman Sharma (Reasi), Ram Das (Udhampur), Bharat Bhushan Vaid (Rajouri), Sanjay Tikoo (Kashmir Displaced District) have been nominated as convener for PMGKAY of their respective districts.
