JAMMU: Wushu Association of J&K on Monday selected five players (boys and girls) in the Youth category after conducting two days of trials at Gindun Stadium, Srinagar.
Now, these selected players shall take part in the trials, for an international event, to be held at Meerut in UP from August 21. Now, the similar selection in senior category shall take place tomorrow at the same venue, a handout issued by the Association here today informed.
Selected Players: 52 kg: Kaifa Shah (Srinagar), Musharaf Qayoom (Baramulla); 48 kg: Ayera Chisti (Srinagar); Sheikh Amir (Anantnag); 60 kg: Saleem Kumar (Budgam).
The technical panel for the ongoing selection trials comprised Kuldeep Handoo, Maqsood Rather, Nissar ahmed Mir, Kamal Kishore, Aijaz Hussain, Owais Ahmed, Ramees Ahmed and Aijaz.
