JAMMU: On the occasion of 22nd Kargil Vijay Diwas, NCC Cadets of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Directorate reached out to 28 families of Kargil War Heroes from Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions.
Despite heavy rains, the NCC Cadets physically went to the homes of Kargil War Heroes spread across Poonch, Rajouri, Mendhar, Jammu, Samba, Kathua and Leh.
Maj Gen Ranjan Mahanjan, Additional Director General, NCC Directorate Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh interacted with the families of Kargil War Heros online over the Video.
He recollected the supreme sacrifices made by the Kargil war Heroes and expressed deep gratitude to the families for their sacrifices.
He also inquired about their wellbeing and problems and assured them that they will be taken care of.
The families of Kargil War Heroes were presented with a memento on behalf of NCC.
Families expressed their happiness over NCC Cadets visit to their homes and personal interaction of ADG with each of them.
