STATE TIMES NEWS AKHNOOR: As part of massive drive to reach out to the local villagers prior to World Hepatitis Day, Indian Army has undertaken an initiative to share awareness on Hepatitis disease in far flung villages in Chowki Chaura Tehsil of Akhnoor. In the event an informative session was carried out at Govt Higher Secondary School on spread of Hepatitis disease to include types, symptoms, cure, prevention and proactive measures of the ailment. They were also informed about the various precautionary measures for spread of Hepatitis infection. Such events hold special value and go a long way in awareness on precautionary measures for spread and containment of the disease in the backward, far flung and downtrodden residential areas of Akhnoor. The initiative was whole heartedly appreciated by the local villagers. A similar lecture was by Army at Asthanmarg for residents of Asthanmarg, Gundi and Brinjamari villages.
