CRPF celebrates 83rd Raising Day

KATHUA/UDHAMPUR: 121 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force celebrated 83rd Raising Day at Hiranagar Headquarters. On this occasion, the 83rd Raising Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm under the leadership of Sanjay Tripathi, 2nd Commanding Officer of 121 Battalion, Chief Medical Officer Latif Khan, during which Neelam Sarangal, 2nd Commanding Officer, Manju Thapa, Deputy Commandant, Surinder Pal, Deputy Commandant , Ajit Pal, other officers and jawans also participated.
On this occasion, officers and jawans of 121 Battalion paid tribute to the martyrs and also planted a tree. In this, tribute was also paid by remembering the soldiers martyred in the Rajbagh Police station terror attack in 2015. Meanwhile, at Samba, 3rd Raising Day of Central Reserve Police Force was celebrated today on 27/07/2021 in the presence of Dhirendra Verma, Commandant, 38 Battalion, CRPF. On this occasion, a new flag was hoisted at Battalion Headquarters, Smilepur, salute was taken and the officers and personnel were greeted on the Raising Day of Central Reserve Police Force and sweets were also distributed. A Plantation drive was done on the occasion of foundation day and the martyr memorial of the brave soldier ct/GD Shaheed Naresh Kumar of the force who was martyred on December 24, 2010 while posted in 197 Battalion, CRPF, Jharkhand, Brig. Rajinder Singh ( M.V.C ) Memorial Govt. After visiting the Higher Secondary School, Rahya, Samba (J & K) garlanded the statue and tribute was paid. On this occasion Devendra Singh of 38 Battalion, CRPF, Second Commanding Officer, H.L. Vairava, Deputy Commandant, subordinate officers and other jawans participated. Kewal Krishna, father of Sepoy/GD Martyr Naresh Kumar, Principal of the school Bela Sharma, Lok Sevak, Senior Lecturer, other teachers and students of the school and local Panch Prem Chand, member of Rural Development Committee Chanchal Singh were also present in the ceremony.
At Udhampur, 137 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) celebrated 83rd raising day. While speaking on the occasion, commandant of Battalion Khalid Khan briefed the history of battalion. Sadhu Saran Yadav, D.Q.A. Tejinder Kaur, DQA. Shobha Rawat, Deputy Commandant 0 and Dr. Neeraj Pandey, Medical Officer were also present.
