STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Police on Saturday solved a theft case by recovering stolen gold/silver ornaments worth Rs 35,000 and arrested one accused. As per the details, Domana Police Jammu made recovery in a theft case FIR No. 158/2021 under sections 454/380 IPC by recovering the stolen property. On June 10, 2021 a complaint was registered at Police Station Domana about the theft of Gold/Silver ornaments and cash from a residential house at Chandan Vihar Muthi Jammu. Taking cognizance of the matter, a special team led by PSI Anoop Kumar under the guidance of SHO Police Station Domana Insp. Mahesh Sharma was formulated to solve the case and nab the culprits. During the investigation several CCTvs around the area were analysed and one suspected person was identified and finally arrested by the police team. The said person identified as Amarjeet Singh, son of lt Charanjeet Singh, resident of Model Town Gangyal Jammu confessed his involvement in the said case and on his disclosure gold/silver ornaments worth around Rs 35,000 and cash Rs 2,000 has been recovered. The investigation is still going on and further arrests and recovery is likely to be made. It is pertinent to mention that the said accused person is habitual offender and has previously been involved in FIR No. 78/2021 under sections 454/380 IPC; FIR No. 42/2021 under sections 454/380 IPC; Fir No. 11/21 under sections 454/380 IPC; FIR NO. 31/2021 under sections 457/380 IPC, FIR No. 68/2021 under sections 457/380 IPC, all cases registered as Police Station Janipur, FIR No. 73/2019 under sections 08/21/22 NDPS Act and FIR No. 53/2021 under sections 457/380 of IPC at Police Station Gangyal and FIR No. 11/2017 under sections 08/21/22 NDPS Act at Police Station Gandhinagar Jammu. The recoveries and arrest have been made under the guidance of SHO Domana Insp. Mahesh Sharma and under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Jammu Sanjay Sharma.
