STATE TIMES NEWS POONCH: Deputy Commissioner, Poonch Inder Jeet on Monday reviewed the arrangements for Independence Day celebration at a meeting attended by district and sectoral officers, held here in Dakbunglow. The DC issued instructions regarding the seating arrangement, illumination of buildings, barricading, PAS, availability of drinking water facility, transport arrangement, Medicare facilities, Full dress rehearsal, Cultural programme etc. The participation of contingents in March past, following Covid safety guidelines, Sanitation, Security arrangements and various other arrangements were discussed in detail. The DC said that ADDC will unfurl the National Flag at Poonch Fort, besides all other district officers will ensure flag hoisting in their respective offices. It was informed that the similar function will be held in all Tehsils and blocks. The Cultural programme rehearsal will be held on August 9 at Girls Higher Secondary School and the full dress rehearsal on August, 13 at sports stadium Poonch. The information department was asked to make arrangements for a public addressing system (PAS) and coverage of the event. The Deputy Commissioner directed PDD and PHE for uninterrupted power and water supply. The CEO municipality was asked to maintain cleanness in and around the venue. The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar; Additional District Development Commissioner, Abdul Sattar; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Basharat Hussain; Officers from 93 Inf. Brigade besides all district/Sectoral officers were also present.
