“Having already represented the case before the Delimitation Commission of India and the Election Commission of India, it is now that needs an immediate follow up at the government of India level.” they said. In this connection, they added, a joint letter will be presented to the Prime Minister on behalf of the minorities of Kashmir signed by the prominent KPs, Kashmiri Sikhs and the other non-Kashmiri speaking Hindus of Kashmir.
Virender Raina said that the issue of Delimitation of constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir is a big opportunity for the displaced community to get the wrongs undone that were committed in the political field with it over the last seven decades.
Its unrepresented character in the houses of legislature including the State Assembly and the Parliament has kept the community at bay, unheard and its issues unresolved, he said.
