JAMMU: Police on Thursday recovered 9 gm heroin from possession of a narco smuggler in Bagh-e-Bahu. As per details, based on specific inputs regarding drug peddling, a Naka was laid by SHO Police Station Bahu Fort Insp Deepak Pathania near Railway Puli Bahu Plaza where they rounded up a suspect namely Saleem Ahmed, son of Abdul Majeed, resident of Raika, Jammu. On search, 9 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. He was arrested and FIR No. 278/21 under sections 8/21/22 of NDPS Act was registered against him at Police Station Bahu Fort. The overall arrest and recovery was made under supervision of SDPO City East Bikram Kumar.
