Bhadarwah: Chairman District Development Council Doda, Dhananter Singh Kotwal along with Vice-Chairperson Sangeeta Bhagat on Saturday inaugurated newly constructed building of Govt High School (GHS) Gajoth zone Bhalla in District Doda.
The school building with ten classrooms including toilets and kitchen shed has been completed with an expenditure of Rs.99 lakh under RMSA / SSA. Speaking on the occasion, Kotwal informed that the school had contributed immensely to the area in terms of education.
Appealing to the parents to set the target for the future thereby encouraging the youth of the region, he urged the teachers to mould and shape the students for a better future.
While encouraging the students to crack the UPSC examination, he also informed the gathering about his initiatives to get a new building for Gajoth Government High School.
Vice Chairperson DDC Doda Sangeeta Bhagat, who was also present on the occasion informed the gathering that the UT government is working hard to improve education scenario in the District Doda and said more new school buildings will be constructed and urged the schools of zone Bhalla and Bhadarwah to give proposal through the education department for availing infrastructural development to their respective schools.
CEO Doda, Sarpanch Dawinder Kotwal, Daljeet Gupta, Anjeel Kotwal, Panches and prominent citizens were also present on the occasion.
