Ganderbal: Organized by District Ganderbal Volleyball Association, District Volleyball Championship commenced at Girag, here on Friday.
The Championship in which 18 boys teams and 4 girls teams are participating is being held under the aegis of Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir and sponsorship of J&K Sports Council.
Prominent persons present on the occasion were Mohd Tariq Joint Secretary Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kaiser Sultan Jin President Volleyball Association Ganderbal and Mohd Maqbool.
Today’s results: Khan Spikers Club beat Fetehpora Volleyball Club by 2-0; Xtreem Volleyball Club beat Wurpash Tigers by 2-1; and Behaama Volleyball Club beat Nunnery Volleyball Club by 2-0.
Today’s matches were officiated by Maqbool Ahmad, Sajid Pathan, Khan Sahil, Ashraf Khan and Rayees Ahmed.
