JKCA asks players to stay away from unrecognised events

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), in an important development, has advised its registered players not to take part in unrecognised events within and outside UT of J&K.
A notification in this regard has been issued by the office of the sub-committee of the JKCA addressed to the players from J&K.
It has been reliably learnt that a league tournament is being organised in Kashmir wherein a famous international cricketer has been invited to be part of the event. Taking serious not of the self-styled event, on the directions of the BCCI, the JKCA has advised its registered players to stay away from the event.
Such a direction was need of the hour, especially when little known and unregistered identities have been holding cricket events throughout J&K little bothering about the rules and norms of the BCCI thus exploiting those young and budding cricketers.
