Jammu: In a drive against sale of banned synthetic thread (Manja) various raids were conducted at different locations by Jammu Police. Special teams from Police Station Janipur led by inspector Nayat Ali raided various shops, arrested two persons and recovered 159 rolls of synthetic thread (Manja). On this, FIR No 89/21 under section 188 /34 IPC was registered at Police Station Janipur. The arrests were made for violating DM’s order regarding ban on sale of plastic/synthetic thread (Manja).
The arrested accused were identified as Rohit, son of Late Ashok Kumar, resident of House No. 105 Shivalikapurm and Sanjay Sharma, son of Des Raj, resident of 115, Shivalikapurm, Janipur. The overall arrest and recoveries were made under the supervision of SDPO West Rahul Nagar.
