STATE TIMES NEWS RAJOURI: Nehru Yuva Kendra Rajouri, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt of India organised Swachhata Pakhwada (Fortnight) on 10th of August 2021 in which Youth Volunteers and Youth Clubs from Block Manjakote carried out Plantation Drive and Cleanliness Drives at Govt Hr Sec School, Gambhir Mughlan, Block Manjakote. The programme started with singing of National Anthem by all the participants. Therafter, a plantation drive was held in which more than 100 saplings provided by Social Forestry Department were planted. Rajinder Singh, Principal, Govt Hr Sec School, Gambhir Mughlan while addressing the gathering highlighted the role of Mahatma Gandhi in Swachhta Abhiyaan. He Mohd Rehman delivered a lecture on importance of plants and trees in the ecological balance of the nature and said that to reverse the phenomenon of Global warming, more and more saplings should be planted. National Youth Volunteers Rabia Mughal and Irfan Mukhtar, Fessar Amin, President, Amin Youth Club, Naheem Khan, President Khan Reflections Youth Club manged the proceedings of the program. They further distributed pamphlets and other IEC material regarding Jal Shakti Abhiyaan to the participants. The program was held under the overall supervision of Nitin Hangloo, District Youth Officer, NYK Rajouri.
