JAMMU: Varinderjeet Singh, State Vice-President of BJP welcomed the decision of J&K government to start a ropeway for Amarnath Yatra and construction of Yatri Niwas in 25 kanal of land at Pantha Chowk, Srinagar.
He said that after opening of the ropeway, the Yatra will get easy for pilgrims and safe too. In bad weather and during snowfall also, the pilgrims will be able to have Darshan of Baba Barfani. Old age people will also get most benefit as they used to travel on horse in the past.
Varinderjeet said that building Yatri Niwas and establishment of Amarnath Shrine Board in Srinagar will be a very big step towards making the Yatra easy for pilgrims.
New building will be constructed in 25 kanal of land and be ready in 18 months time. This building will have capacity of 3000 people and Yatris will not have to roam around for accommodation.
Now they will be able to stay together under one roof and wait for their turn. He said that the day is not far when using new technique and facilities; the Amarnath Yatra will cross the mark of 10 lakh. Undoubtedly this will affect the economy of the State. Youth of J&K will also get work by increasing pilgrims.
Varinderjeet Singh said that the State government is doing exceptional development work and its result is showing. The fruits of development will reach every citizen of the State and work in this direction is being done.
