JAMMU: Three persons died while seven others got injured in separate road mishaps on Monday.
As per details, a Scorpio (JK02BM/6060) and Alto Car (JK02BG /1929) collided head-on near DPS Rajbagh, due to which two persons died on the spot while 6 others were shifted to hospital for treatment. The deceased were identified as Kamlesh Devi, wife of Parkash Chand and her son Darshan, resident of Seer. The injured were identified as Veena, wife of Darshan Singh, resident of Seer R S Pura; her daughters Sonakshi, Nimrat and Shally; Janvi, daughter of Pawan Kumar and Manvi, daughter of Pawan Kumar, resident of Sanji Morh.
Meanwhile, a car on its way from Srinagar to Jammu, collided with a Tanker coming from opposite direction inside Chenani Nashri tunnel. In mishap, three persons got injured and were shifted to PHC Chenani where doctors declared two of them as brought dead. The deceased were identified as Ghulam Mohd Ganai, son of Abdul Ahad Ganai and Gulzar Lone, son of Mohd Lone, resident of Khannasahib, Budgam while injured namely Shokat Bhat, son of Ghulam Rasoool, resident of Kheer Bhawani, Ganderbal was shifted to District hospital Udhampur. The tanker driver has been arrested by police.
In another mishap, Manjit Singh, son of Puran Chand, resident of Dabra who was walking along roadside got hit by a vehicle, due to which he died on the spot.
At R S Pura, Tateshwar, son of Koushal, resident of Chhattisgarh, presently staying at R S Pura also died after being hit by an unknown vehicle in the area.
