JAMMU: Pushp Vatika, Jeevan Nagar organised Independence Day Week celebration from August 9 to 15.
On first day of the week, National Flag hoisting was done by Babita, who is the most senior helper of the school and all in the unison sang the National Anthem.
After that lamp lighting was performed by the Principal Rameshwar Mengi, Headmistress Sushma Sharma, Administrator Ayushi Sharma and Coordinator of Kalika Poonamjeet Kour.
A speech regarding the occasion was delivered by Jagmeet Kour, the teacher of Kalika (UKG).
Management of the school also organised a peaceful rally of 1.5 kilometres in which all the staff members of the school along with Principal participated.
At last, Sushma Sharma appreciated everyone for giving a brilliant start to the celebration of independence Week.
