JAMMU: A Judo competition was today organised by J&K Sports Council here at Bhagwati Nagar wherein judo players including girls participated.
ADC Jammu, Romesh Chander inaugurated the Judo championship at Indoor sports complex Bhagwati Nagar.
The chief guest stressed on the need to identify the hidden talent in the villages by organising such competitions there. “Youth need to be educated and familiarized about the benefits of sports” he added. He called for holding plantation & cleanness drives to make the earth a better living place.
The audience, players and officials were given sanitizers and advised by the Chief Guest to avoid crowded places, wear face masks and maintain hand hygiene. Efforts of the sports council to organise the sports events was also highlighted.
