SRINAGAR: Tral Girls Club and Rising Star won girls and senior boys titles respectively in the two-day, District Pulwama Volleyball Championship which held under the banner of Volleyball Association of J&K.
The junior boys’ trophy went to Zargar Army Awantipora. Earlier, in Senior boy’s final, Rising Star Pulwama trounced Larki Padgampora Club in straight sets of 25-15, 25-22, 25-12 while in junior boys category, Zargar Army defeated Wolniors on Hunt Club Tral 3-1 (25-14, 25-18, 18-15, 25-11).
In girl section, Tral Girls Club outplayed Hujahat Public School in straight sets of 25 -15, 25-18, 25-20.
In the prize distribution function, the Chief Patron, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies Pulwama was the Chief Guest, who presented the title trophies and appreciated the working of the Association, particularly Mudasir Ahmad, secretary Volleyball Association Pulwama. Principal Hujahat Public School Awantipora was the Guest of Honour.
The finals officiated by the technical penal including Javeed Ahmad Dar, Gulzar Ahmad, Mukhtar Ahmad, Yawar Mushtaq and Yasir Mohi ud din Magrey.
