STATE TIMES NEWS KATHUA: In drive against trade of illicit liquor menace in the district, Kathua Police under overall supervision of SSP Kathua R C Kotwal on Tuesday seized 28 bottles of illicit liquor, seized a vehicle and arrested 2 persons. As per details, a police team led by SHO Kathua Insp Om Parkash Chib under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kathua, Shammi Kumar during special checking duty near Khokhayal, intercepted a Scooty (JK08K-5295) which was directed to stop for checking. During checking, 28 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from the possession of two accused namely Sunil Kumar, son of Raj Narayan Tiwari, resident of Khushi Nagar (UP) at present CTM Kathua and Mukesh Singh, son of Paviter Singh, resident of Bihar at present CTM Kathua. The duo was arrested and FIR No 374/2021 under section 48(A) of Excise Act was registered against them at Police Station Kathua.
