JAMMU: Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TWNS) on Wednesday held a meeting under the chairmanship of Rajinder Parshad Kakkar President TNWS Jammu. They discussed the crisis of drinking water supply to Sector 5 & 9 , Ward 54 Trikuta Nagar Colony Jammu. ‘Since last one month there is acute shortage of drinking water supply as the residents are helpless and called for water tanks on payment and on the other side our Jal Shakti Department don’t bother to listen to the residents of so called posh colony of Jammu,” Kakkar said. Advocate Harshwardhan Gupta, General Secretary of TNWS Jammu and resident of Sector 9 along with Harish Malhotra and Er. Partap Singh Arora also narrated that some commercial complex of this locality have heavy load water pumps to inhale the water supply by the results the water supply could not reached to its tail end consumers and there is doubts may be some chemistry in between Jal Shakti Department officials and owners of commercial complex. TNWS Jammu urged to higher authorities to issue directions to the concerned field staff and give relief to the residents of Trikuta Nagar Colony forthwith and also demanded for free and fair enquiry in this case by fixing the culprits as TNWS Jammu already demanded for another borewell for this areas.
