SOPORE: Continuing its efforts to eradicate menace of drugs from the society, Police on Wednesday arrested two drug peddlers in Sopore and recovered contraband substances from their possession. Officers at a checkpoint established at village Wapora Rafiabad intercepted two persons identified as Irshad Ahmad Lone, son of Ghulam Muhammad Lone, resident of Wapora Rafiabad and Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Lone, son of Gh Muhammad Lone, resident of Khushipora Rafiabad. During checking, officers were able to recover 120 grams Charas from their possession. They were arrested and shifted to police station where they remained in custody. Accordingly, FIR No. 86/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Panzla and further investigation started.
