REASI: Continuing a drive against underground criminals & absconders, Reasi Police in its drive against outlaws, in another round of raids & searches, arrested three more absconders who were evading arrests since years.
Team of Reasi Police arrested two absconding criminals after 32 years of commission of crime & warrant was issued against them by court of JMIC Reasi. FIR No 88/1989 under sections 332, 382, 148, 149, 224, 225 of RPC was registered against Toshi alias Darshan Lal and Gud alias Yashpal, both sons of Qumar Din alias Ram Saran on June 19, 1989. Case was proved and Challan was presented against accused. To avoid conviction they jumped trial proceedings and couldn’t be arrested. Further, general Warrant of Arrest under section 512 CrPC was also issued against them. After hectic efforts, Reasi Police developed the information and after hectic efforts arrested them from Jammu.
Reasi Police also arrested absconding criminal Abdul Kareem, son of Musa, resident of Kansi-Patta after 7 years, who jumped parole and was absconding. FIR No 110/2015 under sections 223/224 of RPC was registered against him at Police Station Reasi. Offence was proved and final report was produced in the court of law against accused but to avoid conviction, he jumped trial proceedings and a General Warrant of Arrest under section 512 of CrPC was issued by court of JMIC Reasi on February 4, 2020.
Pertinently a rape case vide FIR No 123/2014 under sections 498 A 376, 323, 147 of RPC was registered against accused in 2014 at Police Station Reasi and he was produced in court of law on December 22, 2014. To avoid conviction he jumped trial proceedings by parole and went underground. Accused Kareem is a habitual offender and also wanted in a attempt to rape case registered vide FIR no 07/2021 under sections 376/511/354/342/147/323 of IPC at police station Reasi and was evading arrest since years. Continuous chase and hectic efforts of Reasi police led to his arrest. With his arrest, attempt to rape case will be produced in the court of law against him and his accomplices.
