SUNDERBANI: Series of plantation drives were conducted by Sunderbani Forest Range of Nowshera Forest Division. A drive in collaboration with Shakti Mahila Mandal Sunderbani and J&K Social and Cultural Council Sunder bani was held at Lower Hathal. Samriti Sharma of Shakti Mahila Mandal , Amarjeet Hathalvi of J&K Social and Cultural Council Sunderbani along with Naib Sarpanch Vishav Kumar and number of locals of Village Lower Hathal participated in the plantation drive. Speaking on the occasion Amarjeet Hathalvi thanked Forest Department for conducting Greening Jammu drive in the remote areas. He thanked B. Mohandas Conservator of Forests West Circle Rajouri , Suresh Manda IFS Divisional Forest Officer Nowshera and Rakesh Verma Range Officer Sunderbani who organised this drive for creation of awareness among the villagers about the importance of forest, soil and it’s direct relation with the rainfall and other climatic factors which directly influence the farm productivity. The drive was arranged by Rangeel Singh Block Officer Sunderbani with active participation of his staff members.
A plantation drive was held at Govt Middle School Uppar Hella in which Sarpanch Rah Selyot Bua Ditta , Rakhi Sharma Headmaster along with staff of school and other PRI members took active participation.
Another plantation drive was held at Govt Middle School Salyot in which Sarla Devi Sarpanch along with Panches and school staff planted medicinal plants in school premises.
The whole drive was conducted under the direct supervision of B. Mohandas IFS Conservator of Forests West Circle Rajpuri, Suresh Manda IFS Divisional Forest Officer Nowshera and Rakesh Verma Range Officer Sunderbani.
