SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday reported 107 new COVID cases, 45 from the Jammu division and 62 from the Valley, thus taking the total number of positive cases in the Union Territory to 324202.
Also one COVID death has been reported from the Jammu division, officials said.
Moreover, 100 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 29 from Jammu Division and 71 from Kashmir Division.
Ladakh records 8 fresh cases
Leh: The total number of COVID-19 cases in Ladakh climbed to 20,491 as eight more people tested positive for the disease, officials said on Sunday.
As many as 12 more patients recovered from COVID-19, they said, adding the number of active cases dropped to 68.
So far, Ladakh has recorded 207 coronavirus-related deaths — 149 in Leh and 58 in Kargil.
The officials said over 3,282 people were tested for COVID-19 in Leh and Kargil on Saturday. Of these, seven tested positive in Leh and one in Kargil.
Ten patients were discharged after successful treatment for COVID-19 in Leh and two others in Kargil, bringing down the active cases in Ladakh to 68 — 62 in Leh and six in Kargil, they said.
So far, 20,216 patients have recovered from the disease in Ladakh.
Besides this, 62.11 percent of the population above the age of 18 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.
No new confirmed case of Mucormycosis has been reported during the past 24 hours, thus the total number of confirmed cases remain 43 in the UT.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 324202 positive cases, 1165 are Active Positive, 318635 have recovered and 4402 have died; 2162 in Jammu division and 2240 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 12907674 test results available, 12583472 samples have been tested as negative till today.
Till date 3130122 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 8822 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1165 in isolation and 426653 in home surveillance. Besides, 2689080 persons have completed their surveillance period.
