STATE TIMES NEWS Kathua: Police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua has solved a theft case by arresting a thief and recovered stolen items viz two golden rings and a samsung mobile phone from accused. As per the details, on August 11, 2021 a case was registered at Police Station Kathua in connection with theft vide FIR No. 376/2021 under sections 457/380 of IPC. Acting on the same on August 16, 2021, a party of Police Post Nagri led by Insp Yash Paul Sharma Incharge Police Post Hatli under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Shammi Kumar, arrested a suspect namely Darshan Singh alias Johny, son of Suram Singh, resident of Jarai (Raed) Kathua who was evading his arrest. During sustained questioning the accused confessed his involvement in crime and on his disclosure two Golden rings weighing about 6 grams (worth approximately Rs 30,000) along with a Samsung Mobile phone were recovered. Further investigation of the case is going on.
